Artist Background: Tjungkara Ken was born in 1969. Tjungkara started painting in 1997 but increased her commitment to her work in 2008. Tjungkara depicts the country of her birth and it’s Seven Sisters Tjukurpa (dreaming). Rock holes, hill and mountain landscapes and other natural elements are detailed throughout her work.
An well-established artist in her own right, Tjungkara also paints collaborative "Ken Sisters" works with her four sisters; Yaritji Young, Maringka Tunkin, Freda Brady and Sandra Ken.
