Artist Background: Tanya Brady was born in 1980 and is from Amata, South Australia, in the APY lands. Tanya is both an established artist and community leader.
Her mother is Freda Brady, one of five sisters (the others being Yaritji Young, Tjungkara Ken, Sandra Ken and Maringka Tunkin) forming part of the highly regarded "Ken Sisters" artists. Tanya’s "Seven Sisters" artworks share her Anangu culture and its significance in keeping cultural law and stories alive.
